New Webinar By Sterling Talent Solutions To Help Explain GDPR

The world’s largest background screening provider Sterling Talent Solutions will be holding a webinar on Tuesday, 30 May 2017 in a bif to educate organisations on the forthcoming European Union Data Protection Regulations. With GDPR coming in in May 2018, it is vital that any organisation that has not started its preparations does so and this will be the first webinar by the company in a series that will offer guidance on a range of GDPR topics. In a statement about the new webinar, the VP of Sterling Talent Solutions Oram Kiazim said:

“The GDPR requires organisations to be more accountable with how they handle personal information. Employers need to be prepared for the changes ahead by devising a holistic strategy around what this will impact, including their background screening programme.”

Speakers at the webinar will include:

Beatriz Torets-Ruiz – Beatriz Torets-Ruiz is a qualified lawyer with the Madrid Bar and has an extensive legal background that has seen her work at several major European law firms including Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP and Thompson & Knight LLP. She is an expert on privacy law and has advised clients around the world and was an integral part of the Google v Spain privacy law case. As well as being a member of the Madrid Bar, she also has an LLM degree from the College of Europe in European Union Law and is a member of the IAPP.

Oran Kiazim – Oran Kiazim is the Vice President, Global Privacy at Sterling Talent Solutions. A certified privacy professional with both CIPP/E and CIPM certifications, Oran has a wide range of experience as a data protection and privacy specialist and has worked across the globe in many different jurisdictions. Previously, Oran worked at the Court of Justice of the European Union as the primary specialist in UK law and advised the European Union Justices on variety of aspects of UK law. Oran is a graduate of Cambridge University and l’Université Paris II (Panthéon-Assas). She also hold an LLM degree from the College of Europe too.
